The Guild of St. George, the Queen and her courtiers have been gracious enough to welcome Bella Donna as guests to the Heart of the Forest Renaissance Faire in Novato, California. Through them, we have been able to continue performing as a travelling household of Venetian Courtesans visiting a market faire in Staffordshire, England in the 16th century.
Rumors of the Queen's progress led us to Stafford where we hoped to make the acquantance of her Grace. Our wishes have been fulfilled several times over as we have been honored to interact with the court and perform for Her Majesty; Elizabeth Gloriana.
We were, of course, intrigued by the idea of a female ruler and appreciated that in England an educated woman might be held in high esteem. We were pleasantly surprised to find that these rumours were true. We found Her Majesty to be the very essence of charm, grace and wit.
